Love in Focus: Capturing Same-Sex Couples in Rome, Italy

There’s a quiet beauty in photographing two people who are simply themselves. No performance, no posing for perfection - just real connection unfolding moment by moment. That’s what draws me to photographing same sex couples in Rome. The honesty. The ease. The unspoken rhythm between two people who see and understand each other completely.

When I started Love Society Studios, I wanted to create something that felt different from the typical photography experience. A space that’s open, inclusive, and real. Whether it’s a portrait session, an anniversary shoot, or an afternoon exploring the city together, my goal is to capture what love actually looks like when it’s lived - not staged.

Rome has this rare light that tells its own story. The early morning glow across the bridges. The golden reflections bouncing off centuries-old walls. The kind of beauty that asks you to slow down, breathe, and just be. Photographing LGBTQ+ couples here feels special because the city itself becomes part of your story - not as a backdrop, but as a witness.

What I love most about working with same sex couples in Italy is how naturally authenticity shows up. There’s no script to follow. Every session has its own energy - sometimes playful, sometimes quiet, sometimes full of laughter that won’t stop. I don’t over-direct; I create space. You get to be yourselves, and I translate that into imagery that feels cinematic, modern, and true.

Being an inclusive photographer in Rome isn’t a tagline for me. It’s a commitment to representation - to making sure every person feels seen beautifully and confidently in front of the camera. Love Society Studios was built on that belief: that love deserves to be documented with the same level of artistry, no matter what form it takes.

If you’re planning a trip to Italy, celebrating something meaningful, or simply want to capture your connection in one of the most romantic cities in the world, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me your story - who you are, what makes you laugh, what this season of your life feels like.

Let’s create something timeless together - something that reminds you of what your love looks like when it’s fully seen.

Warmly xx,
